Section SPS 316.312 - Cabinets, cutout boxes and meter socket enclosures(1) CABLES. Substitute the following wording for 2011 and 2017 NEC 312.5 (C) Exception (intro.): Exception: Cables with entirely nonmetallic sheaths may enter an enclosure through one or more nonflexible raceways of not less than 12 inches and not more than 10 feet in length, provided all of the following conditions are met:(2) OMISSION. The requirements specified in 2011 NEC 312.5 (C) Exception paragraph (b) and 2017 NEC 312.5 (C) Exception number 2 are not included as part of this chapter.(3) FITTING. Substitute the following wording for 2011 NEC 312.5 (C) Exception paragraph (c) and 2017 NEC 312.5 (C) Exception number 3: A fitting is provided on each end of the raceway to protect the cable from abrasion.Wis.
