Section SPS 194.05 - Ringside physician's duties at eventsOnce assigned to an event a ringside physician has all of the following duties and responsibilities:
(1) Be prepared to administer medical procedures to contestants.(2) Attend the official weigh-in.(3) Conduct the pre-bout physical examination, including examining each contestant no earlier than 30 hours and no later than 2 hours before the event and certifying on forms provided by the department as to the physical fitness of a contestant to compete in a contest. (4) Continuous observation at cage side of the physical condition of contestants during bouts including being prepared to administer emergent medical procedures to contestants that receive injuries during bouts.(5) Conduct post-bout physical examinations, including recommending medical suspensions and medical requirements that must be met to clear medical suspensions.(6) Attending injured contestants between bouts.(7) Complete records and reports.(8) Provide all medical supplies that will be needed to attend contestants and conduct examinations.Wis.
