Section NR 811.30 - General pump, motor and wiring installation requirements(1) INSTALLATION LOCATION. All nonsubmersible pump motors and all electrical controls shall be located above grade and protected from flooding, except as allowed for below grade booster pumping stations in s. NR 811.80(3).(2) MOTOR, WIRING AND ELECTRICAL CONTROLS. All exposed wires shall be encased along their entire length and otherwise installed in a manner to prevent contamination of the water supply. All motors, wiring, and electrical controls shall be installed in conformance with all applicable state and local electrical code requirements.Wis. Admin. Register November 2010 No. 659, eff. 12-1-10.It is recommended that all pumps and motors be assessed during design to ensure that they will be energy efficient throughout their operational range and over their usable service life. It is recommended that all pump motors be provided with a recording watt meter.
