The provisions of this subchapter are applicable to all nonferrous metallic mineral exploration as defined in s. NR 130.103(8). This subchapter does not apply to operators engaged in exploration on lands included in a mining and reclamation plan approved as part of a mining permit issued under s. 293.49, Stats., if the plan contains provisions relating to termination of the exploration activities.
