Section 56-2-8 - Signaling and Signal Equipment8.1. Hand signals and audible contact, such as but not limited to, whistles, horns, or radios, shall be utilized whenever noise, distance, restricted visibility, or other factors prevent clear understanding of normal voice communications between employees.8.2. Engine noise, such as from a chain saw, is not an acceptable means of signaling.8.3. Only a designated person shall give signals, except in an emergency.
