Section 36-23-15 - Respiratory Protection

15.1.

(a) Respirators shall be provided by the employer when such equipment is neces­sary to protect the health of an employee. The employer shall provide the respirators which are applicable and suitable for the purpose intended. The employee shall use the provided respiratory protection in accordance with instruction and training received.

(b) Where practicable, the respirators should be assigned to individual workers for their exclusive use.
