Section 36-23-13 - Personal Protective and Life Saving Equipment
13.1. The employer is responsible for requiring the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment in all operations where there is an exposure to hazardous conditions or where this part indicates the need for using such equipment to reduce the hazards to the employees.
13.2. Design. All personal protective equipment shall be of safe design and con­struction for the work to be performed.
13.3. Head protection. Employees work­ing in and around surface construction opera­tions shall be protected by protective helmets.
13.4. Safety-toed shoes shall be worn by all persons in and around a surface construc­tion operations.
