Section 36-10-1 - General1.1. Scope. -- This series sets for requirements for controlling roof, face, and ribs, including coal or rock bursts, in underground coal mines. Roof Control systems installed prior to the effective date of this series are not affected so long as the support system continues to effectively control the roof, face and ribs.1.2. Authority. -- W. Repeal of Former Rule. -- This rule repeals and replaces West Virginia Department of Miner's Health, Safety, and Training Rules, Title 56, Series 10, effective May 1, 1988; West Virginia Board of Coal Mine Health and Safety Rules, Title 36, Series 10 effective March 1, 1981; and Title 36 Series 25 effective August 10, 1987.
