Section 17-6-18 - Reporting Suspected Violations18.1. Reporting of violations to Board. If required by statute and/or the psychologist who has substantial reason to believe that there has been a violation of the statutes or rules of the Board, that might reasonably be expected to be harmful, shall report such violation to the Board. Unless required by statute, the client's name may be provided only with the written consent of the client.18.2. Providing information to client. When a psychologist learns from a client of a possible violation of the statutes or rules of the Board, or when a psychologist receives a request from a client for information on how to file a complaint with the Board, the psychologist has an obligation to inform the client of the standards of practice of psychology and how to file a complaint with the Board.
