Section 149-2-1 - General1.1. Scope. -- This legislative rule establishes standards for basic training academies with medical admission guidelines and the job description of an entry-level officer. This rule also outlines annual in-service and biennial in-service training, continued certification, re-certification, and de-certification standards for law enforcement officers.1.2. Authority. -- W. Va. Code § 30-29-3.1.3. Filing Date. -- April 10, 2024.1.4. Effective Date. - July 1, 2024.1.5. Sunset Provision. -- This rule shall terminate and have no further force or effect on August 1, 2029.
