In addition to their duties in recording the scores of competitors upon the scorecards, the scorers will direct their attention to the competitor while the shooter is aiming and firing, and will be prepared to state any time whether the competitor has fired, and how many shots have been fired. Scorers will report all irregularities observed to the Range Officer, including a continually slow operating target, or one for which a mark has had to be called several times during an order.
