Section 141-58-28 - Firing Areas

a. The firing area on each range will be organized into a firing line, a ready line, and an assembly area. The assembly area will be in the rear of the 300 yard line on the rifle range and 25 feet in the rear of the ready line on the pistol range, or as designated by the range officer.

b. Coaching is not allowed during any individual match, however during team matches the team captain and/or coach will be allowed to coach on the firing line in the rear of the firers. He/she must be easily identifiable and must control his/her voice and actions so as not to disturb other firers. He/she may not physically assist or touch the firer.

c. Scorers will be located behind each firer on the rifle range, within easy conversational range.

d. Battalion-size units are encouraged to set up headquarters for units within their organization in the assembly areas on the pistol and rifle range.
