Section 51-50-3314 - Section 3314-Fire watch during construction3314.1Fire watch during construction. Where required by the fire code official, a fire watch shall be provided during nonworking hours for new construction that exceeds 40 feet (12,192 mm) in height above the lowest adjacent grade. EXCEPTIONS: | 1. New construction that is built under the IRC. 2. New construction less than 5 stories and 50,000 square feet (4645 m2) per story. |
