Section 388-891A-0836 - What is apprenticeship training? Apprenticeship training is a work-based employment and training program registered with the Washington state department of labor and industries that provides:
(1) A combination of hands-on, on-the-job work experience in a skilled occupation with related classroom instruction;(2) Structured mentoring;(3) Wage increases as an apprentice's skills increase; and(4) An industry recognized certificate of completion at the end of the program.Wash.
