State law makes it a crime to abandon a vulnerable adult. "Abandon" means leaving a person without the means or ability to obtain any of the basic necessities of life.
(1) If an individual wishes to "quit" or terminate employment as a provider, the individual must: (a) Give at least two weeks' notice;(b) Notify the client or the client's representative in writing; and(c) Notify the client's case manager.(2) The individual will be expected to continue working until the termination date unless otherwise determined by DSHS.Wash.
