Section 388-15-240 - Family planning(1) Family planning services are those services which enable individuals including minors and handicapped persons, to make choices regarding the number and spacing of children. These services include outreach, information, referral, support services (such as transportation and child care), counseling, education, medical care and follow-up. Family planning medical services include physical examinations, lab tests, diagnosis, treatment, surgical procedures as appropriate, drugs, supplies, devices furnished, prescribed by or under the supervision of a physician.(2) Goals for family planning shall be limited to those specified in WAC 388-15-010(1)(a) through (e). Also see WAC 388-15-010(2).(3) Family planning is a federally mandated service offered to all appropriate persons in the aid to families of dependent children program and also to any appropriate individual who meets the state's financial eligibility requirements (including anyone who within three months has been an applicant for or a recipient of AFDC (see WAC 388-15-020(1)(e)(i) )).
