Section 388-147-1700 - What steps must I take to place a child for adoption?(1) Your staff must prepare the adoptive parent(s) for placement of a specific child by: (a) Locating and providing information about the child and the birth family to the prospective adoptive family provided under the federal and state statute; and(b) Developing a transition plan for the child into the family, including preparing for adjustment issues, given the child's background.(2) You must file pre-placement (home study) reports with the court as required by RCW 26.33.180 through 26.33.-190.Wash.
