Section 388-145-1360 - What children may I serve in my group care program?(1) You may serve children who are at least six years of age and meet one of the following conditions: (a) Have behaviors that cannot be safely or effectively managed in foster care;(b) Need temporary placement awaiting a more permanent placement;(c) Need emergency placement during a temporary disruption of a current placement;(d) Have emotional, physical, or mental disabilities;(e) Need a transitional living setting;(f) Need respite care from a licensed provider; or(g) Are age sixteen or older and need to acquire independent living skills.(2) Your program may serve children younger than six years of age if it meets the following criteria: (a) Provides services to children with intellectual and developmental disabilities;(b) Provides services to medically fragile children;(c) Provides services to expectant mothers or parenting youth;(d) Is licensed as a group receiving center;(e) Is licensed as an emergency respite center;(f) Is licensed as a resource and assessment center; or(g) Is a facility approved and certified under chapter RCW 74.15.020(2) (m).Wash.
