Section 388-877-0100 - Behavioral health services-Purpose and scope
(1) The rules in chapter 388-877 WAC provide a single set of rules for agencies to follow that provide any one or more of the following behavioral health services:
(a) Mental health services;
(b) Substance use disorder services;
(c) Co-occurring services (services to individuals with co-existing mental health and substance use disorders); and
(d) Problem and pathological gambling;
(2) These rules establish the following for agencies that provide behavioral health services:
(a) Licensure and certification requirements;
(b) Agency administrative requirements;
(c) Agency personnel requirements;
(d) Agency clinical policies and procedures; and
(e) A grievance system that includes a grievance process, an appeal process, and access to administrative hearings for agencies that serve individuals whose services are covered by the federal medicaid program.
(3) The department requires all agencies and providers affected by this rule to fully comply with the applicable requirements in chapter 388-877 WAC no later than July 1, 2018.
