Section 388-97-2700 - Resident toilet facilities or roomsThe nursing home must ensure that:
(1) Each resident room is equipped with or located convenient to toilet facilities.(2)For new construction, a toilet room must: (a) Be directly accessible from each resident room and from each bathing facility without going through or entering a general corridor while maintaining resident dignity;(b) Serve two bedrooms or less;(c) Be designed to accommodate a person in a wheelchair;(d) Contain at least one handwashing sink; and(e) Provide a properly located and securely mounted grab bar at each side and the back of each toilet fixture in each toilet room and stall. Grab bars on the open side must be located twelve to eighteen inches from the center line of the toilet. Grab bars on the open side must be able to swing up.Wash. Admin. Code § 388-97-2700
