Section 388-106-1410 - Am I eligible for New Freedom consumer directed services (NFCDS)-funded services?You are eligible for NFCDS-funded services if you reside in your own home and meet all of the following criteria. The department must assess your needs using CARE and determine that:
(1) You are in NFCDS HCBS waiver specified target groups of: (a) Eighteen or older and blind or have a physical disability; or(b) Sixty-five or older; and (C) You reside in a county where New Freedom is offered. (2) You meet financial eligibility requirements described in WAC 182-513-1315. This means the department will assess your finances, determine if your income and resources fall within the limits, and determine the amount you may be required to contribute, if any, toward the cost of your care as described in WAC 182-515-1505; and(3) You: (a) Are not eligible for medicaid personal care services (MPC); or(b) Are eligible for MPC services, but the department determines that the amount, duration, or scope of your needs is beyond what MPC can provide; and(4) Your CARE assessment shows you need the level of care provided in a nursing facility as defined in WAC 388-106-0355; and(5) You live in your own home, or will be living in your own home by the time NFCDS start.
