Section 332-14-030 - Lands available for exploration and leasing - Authority to withhold

State lands subject to the management of the department shall be available for coal exploration in accordance with these regulations. The department is not required to offer any tract of land for coal exploration or coal mining unless it determines that the interests of the state would be served.
