A vehicle transit permit is a document that authorizes an individual to operate a vehicle on a public highway of this state solely for the purpose of obtaining necessary documentation to complete an application for a Washington certificate of title or registration. Use of the vehicle is restricted to the reason(s) indicated on the permit.
There is a five dollar service fee to issue a vehicle transit permit.
