Section 296-96-24550 - Car controls(1) Car controls shall be permitted to be automatic push button, constant pressure push button or momentary push button types. Hand rope and car switch controls shall not be used.(2) If a car is not equipped with constant pressure push button controls, then it shall be equipped with a manually operated emergency stop switch that is clearly marked "emergency stop."(3) Terminal limiting devices shall operate independently of car controls and shall automatically stop the car at the top and bottom terminal landings.Wash.
