Section 296-24-24019 - Operating near overhead electric power lines
(1) For operations near overhead electric lines see chapter 296-24 WAC Part L.
(2)Boom guards. Cage-type boom guards, insulating links, or proximity warning devices may be used on cranes, but the use of such devices must not operate to alter the requirements of (1) of this section.
(3)Notification. Before the commencement of operations near electrical lines, you must notify the owners of the lines or their authorized representative and provide them with all pertinent information. You must request the cooperation of the owner.
(4)Overhead wires. You must consider any overhead wire to be an energized line unless and until the person owning such line or the electrical utility authorities indicate that it is not an energized line.
