Section 296-150I-0110 - Manufactured home installation-Homeowner performing work on their own home-Exceptions(1) The owner of a manufactured home may install or perform installation work on his or her own home without obtaining certification from the department as a certified manufactured home installer if the home is intended for use as the homeowner's primary residence. For the installation of a manufactured home the homeowner must attend and pass an installer training class prior to starting the work.(2) The installation work must be performed in compliance with this chapter and be permitted and inspected by the local enforcement agency.(3) If the owner of a manufactured home hires any individual or business to assist the owner in the installation work, a certified installer is required to be on-site supervising such work and must meet all the requirements of this chapter.(4) For the purposes of this chapter, an "owner" of a manufactured home does not include a manufactured/mobile home dealer, distributor, park owner or manager, contractor, or developer who installs or performs installation work on a manufactured home intended for resale or rental.Wash.
