Section 246-293-680 - Local standards(1) Where standards in these regulations do not fully meet the fire protection needs of a city, town or county, the appropriate city, town or county legislative authority may promulgate fire flow and system reliability performance standards applicable within their respective jurisdiction. Such standards shall be fully documented and provide at least equal performance and protection as the minimum requirements contained in these regulations.(2) Standards established by local jurisdictions shall be submitted to the department for review, and approval if they at least meet the minimum level of protection required by these regulations.(3) The city, town, or county which adopts local fire flow or system reliability standards shall be responsible for administering those standards.Wash.
