The requirements of this chapter are adopted pursuant to the provisions of chapter 70A.388 RCW. This chapter establishes radiation safety standards for the use of security screening systems that emit ionizing radiation to detect contraband under clothing and within body cavities of individuals who have been committed to a correctional facility or who have been presented for confinement in a jail or detention facility.
