Section 246-809-040 - Reporting of suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult

As required by chapter 26.44 RCW, all licensed counselors and associates shall immediately report abuse or neglect of a child if the counselor has reasonable cause to believe that an incident has occurred.

As required by chapter 74.34 RCW, all licensed counselors and associates must report suspected abandonment, abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult, when there is reasonable cause to believe that abandonment, abuse, financial exploitation, or neglect has occurred.

The associate will inform their approved supervisor of their filing any report made pursuant to this section.
