Section 246-335-752 - Heating, ventilating and air conditioning(1) Hospice care centers must have systems to provide individual temperature control for patient rooms to ensure patient preference and comfort. The hospice care center must have the capacity to maintain: (a) Patient rooms at 70°F in summer and 80°F in winter; and(b) Nonpatient care areas at 75°F in summer and 70°F in winter.(2) Provide air pressurization differentials within the facility to promote the movement air from clean areas into dirty areas per American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) 170.(3) Provide air changes in areas per ASHRAE 170.Wash.
