Authorized contractors, including workers and supervisors, working at a decontamination site shall, at a minimum:
(1) Perform all decontamination work only with department certified workers and supervisors;(2) File a work plan with and obtain approval from the local health department;(3) Perform work in accordance with the approved work plan;(4) Station on site a contractor-employed certified supervisor to oversee the activities performed;(5) Perform work meeting applicable requirements of state and local building codes;(6) Comply with applicable Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act, Public Law 91-596, 84 stat. 1590; and Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act regulations and requirements, chapter 49.17 RCW;(7) Comply with applicable requirements of chapter 70A.300 RCW, Hazardous waste management; and chapter 173-303 WAC, Dangerous waste regulations;(8) Comply with applicable requirements of department of ecology and Environmental Protection Agency regulations;(9) Comply with applicable contractor regulations;(10) Notify the state and local jurisdictional health department of all work performed within 10 days after completion of the project;(11) Comply with all other applicable laws and regulations; and(12) Comply with this chapter.Wash.
