Section 173-182-330 - Planning standards for in situ burning(1) Based on the NWACP in situ burning policy, plan holders operating in areas where in situ burning may be considered as a response option shall plan for the use of in situ burning as appropriate to the oil types handled and operating environments covered under the plan.(2) The plan holder must identify the locations of two fire booms, air monitoring equipment, personal protective equipment, igniters and aircraft or vessels, or other appropriate means to be used to deploy the igniters.(3) The fire booms must be five hundred feet in length each and have an additional one thousand feet of conventional boom, tow bridles and work boats capable of towing the boom for on-water burning operations.(4) The plan holder must describe the methods of transporting the equipment to a staging area, and appropriate aircraft , vessels, and personnel resources to monitor its effectiveness at the scene of an oil discharge.(5) These resources must be capable of being on-scene within twelve hours of spill notification.Wash.
