Section 132Q-10-242 - Discrimination

Discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, age, sex, marital status, pregnancy, parental status or families with children, status as a mother breastfeeding her child, AIDS/HIV or hepatitis C, honorably discharged veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, use of guide dog or service animal by a person with a disability, genetic information, or other legally protected classifications is prohibited in conformity with federal and state laws. Discrimination includes physical, verbal, written conduct (including conduct via social and electronic media), or other conduct that is sufficiently severe, persistent or pervasive, and objectively offensive as to substantially interfere with a reasonable person's ability to study, participate in or benefit from CCS's educational programs, educational opportunities, and/or employment benefits and opportunities such that the person or group is effectively denied equal access/ opportunities based on protected status.
