Section 4VAC15-275-80 - Instructor certificationA. The department may designate as a hunter instructor any person found by it to be competent to give instruction in the courses required.B. Volunteer instructors are designated to work on a voluntary basis and at the pleasure of the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries Wildlife Resources.C. To be certified as a hunter education course instructor for the department's hunter education program, a person shall (i) have successfully completed a hunter education course and (ii) be certified as an instructor by the department or by a certification program accepted by the department. D. Applicants for certified instructor shall submit an application to the department on a form and in a manner determined by the hunter education program manager. At a minimum, the application shall include: 2. The applicant's street address;3. The applicant's telephone number; 4. The applicant's email address, if any;5. Information describing the applicant's experience and training in hunter and hunting and proof of completion of a hunter education course that is accepted by the department; and 6. Any other information deemed necessary after review of the initial application. E. Applicants may be required to submit written consent for a criminal history background check in a manner determined by the department or an interview in a manner determined by the department and in accordance with state policy.4 Va.
