Section 2VAC5-490-37 - Laboratory certificationA. Each grade A permit holder operating a dairy plant that receives any milk that could require load confirmation or producer traceback as a result of a positive animal drug residue on a load of milk delivered at the plant shall provide to the state regulatory agency results of animal drug residue tests from an officially designated laboratory. Each officially designated laboratory shall maintain a listing in the IMS List - Sanitation Compliance and Enforcement Ratings of Interstate Milk Shippers as an approved milk laboratory certified to test load and producer samples. All laboratory results from officially designated laboratories shall be reported to the state regulatory agency within six hours of the initial presumptive positive result at the plant.B. Each officially designated laboratory shall comply with the requirements contained in the "Evaluation of Milk Laboratories, 2017 revision" for certification and listing in the "IMS List - Sanitation Compliance and Enforcement Ratings of Interstate Milk Shippers."2 Va.
