Section R657-33-7 - Traps and Trapping Devices(1) Bear may not be taken with a trap, snare or any other trapping device, except as authorized by the division.(2) Bear accidentally caught in any trapping device must be released unharmed.(3)(a) Authorization must be obtained from a division representative to remove the carcass of a bear from any trapping device.(b) The carcass shall remain the property of Utah and must be surrendered to the division.Utah Admin.
