Section R651-104-4 - Appropriate Attributes for a State ParkProposed State Parks should provide or possess:
(1) diverse, multi-use outdoor recreation experiences;(2) resources of statewide significance, including areas of scenic beauty, recreational utility, or of historic, archaeologic, or scientific interest;(3) features, opportunities, experiences, and amenities that make the State Park's preservation important to the overall quality of life for visitors to enjoy, including: (a) unique scenic values or unique natural attributes;(b) outdoor recreation areas or unmet services that are in demand by the public; and(c) value or quality in illustrating or interpreting the natural or cultural themes of Utah's heritage.(4) sufficient acreage and the capacity to generate necessary revenue to cover ongoing operating costs.Utah Admin.
