Section R650-223-1 - Notification Required(1) A vessel operator shall immediately, and by the quickest means of communication available, notify the nearest state park ranger or other law enforcement officer of an accident that involves a vessel or a vessel's equipment if because of the accident:(a) a person dies or disappears from a vessel under circumstances that indicate death;(b) a person is injured and receives medical treatment beyond first aid; or(c) the accident results in property damage of more than $2,000.(2) The person making the notification required by Subsection (1) shall include in the notification: (a) the date, time, and location of the accident;(b) the name of each person who died or disappeared because of the accident;(c) the assigned number of any vessel involved in the accident; and(d) the name and address of the owner and operator of any vessel involved in the accident.Utah Admin.
