Section R616-3-11 - Shunt Trips in Elevator Systems

A. The means (shunt trip) to automatically disconnect the main line power supply to the elevator discussed in 2.8.3.3.2 of A17.1 is not required for hydraulic elevators with a rise of 50 feet or less.
