Section R612-300-14 - Advance Practice Registered NurseA. Authority. This rule is enacted under the authority of 34A-1-104 and 58-31b-803.B. Requirement. An advanced practice registered nurse who treats an injured worker and prescribes Schedule II controlled substances for chronic pain is subject to the provisions of the "Model Policy on the Use of Opioid Analgesics in the Treatment of Chronic Pain," July 2013, adopted by the Federation of State Medical Boards, which is incorporated by reference.Utah Admin.
