Section R162-2g-308 - Application for a Six-Month Temporary Permit(1) A non-resident of this state who is licensed or certified in another state and who wishes to apply for a six-month temporary permit to perform one or more specific appraisal assignments in Utah shall: (a) evidence that each specific appraisal assignment is covered by a contract to provide appraisals;(b) submit an application as provided by the division and including the following:(ii) specific property addresses to be appraised;(iii) types of property being appraised; and(iv) estimated time to complete each assignment;(c) complete and submit a qualifying questionnaire as provided by the division;(d) sign an irrevocable consent to service authorizing the division to receive service of any lawful process on behalf of the applicant in any non-criminal proceeding arising out of the applicant's practice as an appraiser in this state;(e) pay a nonrefundable application fee in the amount established by the division; and(f) provide the starting date of the appraisal assignment for which the temporary permit is being sought.(2)(a) A non-resident is limited to two temporary permits per calendar year, each of which may be extended one time for an additional six-month period if the assignments for which the permit is issued have not been completed within the original six-month term of the temporary permit.(b) A temporary permit may be extended by submitting the forms required by the division.Utah Admin.
