Section R156-63b-601 - Operating Standards - Firearms(1) An armored car security officer shall carry only that firearm with which the officer has passed an approved basic firearm training program.(2) Shotguns and rifles owned and issued by the armored car company, may be used in situations where they would constitute an appropriate defense for the armored car security officer, if the officer has successfully completed a firearms training program specific to shotgun or rifle use.(3) An armored car security officer shall not carry a firearm except when acting on official duty as an employee of an armored car company, unless the licensee is otherwise qualified under the laws of the state to carry a firearm.Utah Admin.
