Section R156-31b-701c - Delegation of Nursing Care by a Responsible CaregiverIn addition to Section 58-31b-308.1, the delegation of nursing care by a responsible caregiver to an unlicensed direct care work is as follows:
(1) A responsible caregiver retains accountability for the appropriate delegation of a task and for the nursing care of the patient.(2) A delegatee may not: (a) further delegate to another person a delegated task, or any part of a delegated task; or(b) expand the scope of the delegated task.Utah Admin.
