Section R151-4-506 - Limits on Use of DiscoveryThe presiding officer shall limit the frequency and extent of discovery regardless of whether either party files a motion to limit discovery if:
(1) the discovery sought is unreasonably cumulative, duplicative, or is obtainable from some other source that is:(2) the party seeking discovery has had ample opportunity by discovery in the action to obtain the information sought; or(3) the discovery is burdensome or expensive, taking into account:(a) the needs of the case;(b) the amount in controversy;(c) the limitations on the parties' resources; and(d) the importance of the issues at stake in the litigation.Utah Admin.
