Section 217.38 - Registration Fee Credit: ApplicationAn application for registration fee credit must be accompanied by:
(1) the current metal license plate(s) and license receipt issued for the destroyed vehicle;(2) the negotiable certificate of title covering the destroyed vehicle; and(3) evidence that the vehicle has been destroyed to such an extent that it cannot thereafter be operated on the highways.43 Tex.
