Section 21.164 - Decision on Application(a) The department will make a decision on an application within 60 days after the date of receipt of the application. If the decision cannot be made within the 60 day period, the department will notify the applicant of the delay and provide the reason for the delay and provide an estimate for when the decision will be made.(b) If the permit application is approved, the department will issue a permit for the sign.(c) If the permit application is not approved, the department will send to the applicant a notice that states the reason for the denial.43 Tex.
