Section 811.50 - Educational Services for Choices Participants Who Have Not Completed Secondary School or Received a High School Equivalency Credential(a) Educational services are only available for Choices participants who have not completed secondary school or who have not received a high school equivalency credential.(b) A Board shall ensure that a determination is made, on a case-by-case basis, whether to authorize, arrange, or refer Choices participants who are age 20 and older for any of the following educational or other training services: (1) secondary school, as defined in § 811.2(18) of this chapter, when required as a prerequisite for employment;(2) Adult Basic Education (ABE), language instruction, or literacy instruction; or(3) other educational activities that are directly related to employment.(c) A Board shall ensure educational services related to employment directly provide education, knowledge, and skills for specific occupations, work settings, jobs, or job offers.40 Tex.
