Section 811.30 - Special Provisions for Teen Heads of Household(a) A Board shall ensure that teen heads of household who have not completed secondary school or received a high school equivalency credential are enrolled in educational activities as defined in § 811.50 of this chapter.(b) Teen heads of household who have not completed secondary school or received a high school equivalency credential count as engaged in work if they:(1) maintain satisfactory attendance at a secondary school or the equivalent during months in which school is in session;(2) participate in allowable activities, as described in § 811.25 of this subchapter, during months in which school is not in session;(3) participate in education directly related to employment for at least an average of 20 hours per week during the month; or(4) participate in Choices employment and training activities as described in § 811.25 of this subchapter.40 Tex.
