Section 700.891 - Who is eligible for the HCB stipend?To qualify for the health coverage benefit, an adopted child must:
(1) Have been in the conservatorship of DFPS at the time of adoptive placement;(2) Be the subject of a final order of adoption entered on or after September 1, 2007;(3) Be under 18 years of age;(4) Not be eligible for medical assistance under Chapter 32 of the Human Resources Code; and(5) Be a member of an adoptive family with a household income less than 300% of the federal poverty level.40 Tex.
