Section 700.509 - What is T3C Treatment Foster Family Care Support Service Package?(a) A trauma-informed, highly-structured foster home that in addition to providing a child's basic living needs, has highly-trained Foster Family Home Caregivers with skill in providing time-limited, strength-based therapeutic services to children, youth, and young adults who may present with a DSM diagnosis for an emotional, conduct, or behavioral disorder and for whom structured and frequent clinical intervention and complex case management is needed to support and manage day-to-day activities.(b) In addition to the DSM diagnosis for an emotional disorder, the child may demonstrate two or more of the following: (1) Major self-injurious actions, including a suicide attempt within the last 12 months;(2) Difficulties that present a significant risk of harm to others, including frequent or unpredictable physical aggression; or(3) An additional DSM diagnosis of substance-related and/or addictive disorder with severe impairment.(c) The T3C Treatment Foster Family Care Support Services Package require the highest level of clinical intervention offered in a family setting to perform day-to-day activities.(d) This Service Package is designed to offer community-based care and treatment/recovery services for children, youth, and young adults based on their individual strengths and needs, and in accordance with their customized Service Plan and permanency goal.(e) Child Placing Agencies and Foster Family Home Caregivers must be Credentialed to provide T3C Treatment Foster Family Care Support Service in accordance with the guidelines and requirements as defined by the Department of Family and Protective Services pursuant to Chapter 40 of the Texas Human Resources Code.40 Tex.
